Frequently asked questions
-
There are lots of reasons why someone might explore therapy:
Having someone to talk to outside of their personal life
Processing difficult or traumatic experiences or states of being
Learning new information or tools
Some people come to therapy for a fixed number of sessions to meet their goals. Others find continuing therapy helpful to maintain and support their emotional and psychological well-being.
If you have a list of things you’d like to work on, that’s great! Let’s talk about it.
But I’m happy to help if you’re unsure, overwhelmed, or if just reaching out feels like a big step.

Prior to moving into private practice, I worked in community mental health and substance use for over a decade.
I also participate in ongoing supervision and training.

Relational, warm, and supportive. Human first, therapist second.
I will:
Gently challenge when it’s helpful to do so,
Take an integrative approach,
Check in often and
Make sure you feel supported.
I welcome feedback, and I can be more pragmatic and directive when needed.
I value education and understanding why we do what we do. I strive to support you in knowing that too.
